After what was reported as a rowdy success, playing with City Hotel on Thursday evening at The Sentient Bean, the guys from Georgia Mountain Stringband took a night off of downtown performing to have an evening out on the island. Tybee Island Social Club continues to book great music even during the slower winter months, and is a regular musician’s hang-out every Sunday for Bluegrass Brunch. GMSB is a perfect fit for the laid back atmosphere of #TybSocialClub and I’m hopeful that we’ll see them again there this summer.
The guys from GMSB (Atlanta) tend to do multiple show weekends in the lowcountry every few months and are tied into the bluegrass/Americana connection between our town and Atlanta that has forged quite a few friendships & shared stage-bills. Savannah has one more chance to hear the band on this trip at Moon River Brewing Company; 3-5-16 from 4-7pm.
