Recently a variety of Savannah bands were asked to submit material for New York City’s BreakThru Radio . Quite a few of those that responded are regular names around the city & region, but there are also much less heard of projects as well.
Savannah often gets the reputation as a backwater Southern town (which it is to some degree), but it’s nice that we also are gaining a wider recognition as more than just a tourist stop in the Deep South. This program is long (almost 2 hours), and while we certainly encourage everyone to give a listen to the whole program listeners can also skip around to find the music that interests them the most. We have a vibrant, and creative music scene in this town and here is proof of that.
