After you’ve stolen more than enough candy from the kid’s goody bag Thursday, you might want to think about heading to The Jinx for their annual Halloween cover band celebration. The bar is going to be decked out in “full Beetlejuice theme” and 8(!) bands comprised of Jinx staff and local musicians will take the stage to play the songs of various rock and roll legends. This should be a blast.
The bands will include members of Superhorse, Lovely Locks, Whiskey Dick, Jeff Two Names and the Born Agains, The Wave Slaves, The Magic Rocks and others.
Here’s the event invitation page and the lineup:
AND OUT COME THE WOLFS (RANCID)
10 1/2 (BLACK FLAG)
CC AREN’T (CCR)
YOU FAT BASTARD’S (FAITH NO MORE)
DEBASERHEAD (PIXIES)
THE RAMONEAGAINS (THE RAMONES)
NEON ANGELS (THE RUNAWAYS)
THE DENTURES (THE VENTURES)
Cover is $10 and they seem semi-serious about starting shortly after 9.

CCR Aren’t last year.
Free Candy as “The Human Flies” in 2011.
If this doesn’t sound like your kind of thing, Halloween at The Dollhouse looks to be a great choice, too.
