The sun (and humidity) came out to El Rocko for the second of the Summer Series shows at El Rocko, starring the Willie Jackson Blues Band.
Singing a mix of originals and covers, Willie joked with the crowd and made sure everyone was having a great happy hour. His debut EP, released last year, features original songs that carry traditional blues into contemporary, everyday life.
A native of Savannah, Willie has always been a songwriter in his free time while working to support his family. After an accident ended his career working on the railroad, he was able to pursue his music full time. Willie has a passion for writing blues songs, playing bass and singing with various configurations of his Tybee Blues Band at venues across the Coastal Empire.
Catch the next show in the series this Friday with Sam Morrow at 6 p.m., and check out more photos after the jump!
