Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds is a big soul and funk band from Brooklyn, but as I watched them on the WFPK Port Stage last week at Forecastle Festival in Louisville, I assumed they were based in the deep South. Big sound, great energy — another band that I hope to see here in Savannah one day. Here’s their Audiotree session filmed the week before Forecastle:
