keeping up with Meklit and her new record “We Are Alive”

I’m pretty thrilled that hissing lawns is associated with Meklit and her stirring new album We Are Alive, which has been earning great reviews. One of the photos that I shot back in January at Dollhouse Productions is on the cover.

A TED Fellow, Meklit appeared this week on PRI’s The World talking about The Nile Project and sharing some music:

Just last week, Meklit was featured in a cover story for the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
