Savannah Stopover announcing local acts, Fare The Gap performing on 1/10

Savannah Stopover will announce the local acts slated for the March festival at ThincSavannah on Friday night. The collaborative workspace on Ellis Square at the southwest corner of Congress and Barnard is hosting 2014: Year of the Local from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20, but that includes food courtesy of the Forsyth Farmers’ Market and farm-to-table restaurants and local drinks courtesy of NuSystem Draft Service.

Stopover CEO Kayne Lanahan is an occasional contributor to hissing lawns, but we keep a sharp line between the festival and the blog. So I’m totally certain of only one local band that will be announced Friday: Fare The Gap, which will also be performing at the party.

Since the young and intriguing act doesn’t have a lot of images, I allowed event organizers to use one from hissing lawns for the invite:

Savannah Stopover has already announced some of the 2014 headliners, with the rest of the lineup set to be released on 1/15. Earlier today, Stopover confirmed that four of this year’s bands are also in the just-announced lineup for Coachella.
